Together the neighbouring ski resorts of Lech and Zurs form the most exclusive ski destination in Austria.
Further down the Arlberg Pass (traveling from the Tirol side) is the chic ski resort of Zurs. Zurs is located above the tree line and the scenery around is spectacular and remote.

The main ski lift runs from the centre of Zurs and accesses a wide open mountain side. The skiing in Zurs is less challenging than that found in St Anton and is ideal for all abilities up to advanced. Accommodation in Zurs is well located for the skiing with hotels on the opposite side of the road connected by a ski overpass. Unlike St Anton most of the accommodation is hotel or pension based and the hotels have a definite exclusivity about them. Also in contrast to St Anton, Zurs offers an up-market après ski scene with blankets and fine food and drink, compared to the ski boot table dancing of St Anton. The ski area at Zurs is often referred to as Lech-Zurs as the resorts are lift linked, with the expanded area offering further skiing possibilities and the chance to lunch in the most exclusive ski resort in Austria, Lech.
The alternative way to get to Zurs from St Anton is via the fearsome Valluga 2. The Valluga 2 represents the most challenging ski terrain in St Anton and is as challenging as anything in Austria. The top station at Valluga 2 offers views right across the Arlberg and beyond as well as the first sight of the off-piste ski route down to Zurs. In good snow conditions the ski route can produce the ultimate descent. A certified guide from St Anton or Zurs is required before the Valluga 2 lift can be boarded on the St Anton side, although foot passengers are allowed access.
