Zug, Austria – the near neighbour of Lech am Alrberg
Zug is close to Lech and accesses the same great and extensive ski area as Lech, making it a good alternative in high season.

The ski village of Zug offers an alternative location to Lech during high season when Lech accommodation can be booked out. Zug accesses the same fantastic ski area as Lech and there is a lift running from the centre of the village up to the main ski area at Lech. Buses connect Zug to Lech. Zug is located at over 1500m and the whole Lech area is known as one of the most snow reliable ski areas in Austria. The routes back down to Zug from the Lech ski area are marked as ski routes and are not patrolled, so beginners should exercise caution. The alternative is to ski down the more gentle runs into Lech and take the frequent buses the short distance back to Lech.
