Part of the Alberg ski region, Lech, Austria is one of the top ski resorts in Austria.
The ski terrain in Lech, the charming village and the huge annual snow accumulations in Lech make Lech amongst the best ski resorts in Austria.

The skiing in Lech takes place on both sides of the main road and river that run through Lech. On one side is the cable car that links the ski area to Zurs, on the other side of the river, the main ski area at Lech stretches far into the distance and includes the village of Oberlech. One of the best aspects of skiing is Lech is the immediate access to the ski pistes. Much of the accommodation in Lech is ski-in and ski-out with fantastic access to the ski pistes. Another aspect of the layout of Lech is the fact that much of the accommodation also has very good access to the highly attractive centre of Lech. Lech prides itself on infrastructure developments including the first revolving drag lift early last century and more recently the first heated chair lifts. Lech has an exclusive feel to it and offers a first class tourism product. The majority of the skiing is intermediate but Lech is noted for its fantastic off-piste skiing, made all the better by the massive snow accumulations that develop in winter.
